This is where you've landed.
Therapy for leaders and executives navigating an unexplained health scare where the tests came back inconclusive, "probably stress" wasn't an answer, and the responsibility never actually paused.
This isn't about whether you took leave or kept working through it. It's about what it costs to keep leading people when your own body did something unexplained and frightening, and the most concrete answer anyone can give you is "probably stress," a phrase that sounds like a diagnosis and functions like a shrug.
There's a particular kind of fear that comes with not knowing. A clear diagnosis, even a hard one, gives you something to work with. Inconclusive gives you nothing but vigilance waiting for a next time you can't predict, prepare for, or rule out.
None of this makes you fragile. It makes you someone whose body did something undeniable, in a role that has never once made room for that.

You don't have to have a clear answer for what happened. You just have to stop leading through it alone.
Therapy doesn't replace your medical care, but the fear, vigilance, and identity questions that come with an unexplained event are exactly what therapy addresses, whether or not a clear diagnosis ever arrives.
Yes. Whether you stepped away or never stopped, the mechanism is the same: your body did something frightening and the responsibility for your team absorbed it without anyone fully knowing what that cost you.
I don't manage or advise on medical treatment. With your consent, I'm glad to communicate with your physician for continuity of care.
Not for our work together. You don't need to have told anyone the full story yet for this to help.
Yes. Sessions are not shared with your employer, colleagues, or any third party unless it falls within the limits of confidentiality.
IFS Intensives are private-pay and not billed through insurance. If ongoing therapy is helpful after your Intensive, I'm in-network with BCBS for eligible ongoing sessions.
I'm licensed in Maryland and Virginia, with telehealth privileges in Florida. The pre and post-intensive sessions are virtual; the Intensive itself is available virtually or in person in Baltimore, MD or Virginia Beach, VA.
