People-pleasing isn't simply being nice.
Sometimes it's scanning the room before you check in with yourself.
It's knowing what everyone else needs before you've asked what you need.
It's saying, "It's fine," because explaining why it isn't feels like too much work.
It's feeling responsible for how everyone around you feels.
And eventually, you realize you can tell everyone what they need from you, but you're not entirely sure what you need from yourself.
IFS helps us work with the parts that learned this was necessary.
