You understand exactly what you're doing. You just can't seem to stop.

IFS Intensives • Maryland & Virginia

For highly self-aware adults who keep losing themselves in people-pleasing, over-functioning, and perfectionism even though they know exactly why.

The Work

Imagine finally being able to stay connected to yourself in the moments you usually disappear.

Into the people pleasing, the perfectionism, the overthinking, the self-doubt.
The moment someone needs something and you immediately abandon what you were feeling to take care of it.

That disconnection isn't a character flaw.
It's a pattern that developed for good reason and has now been running the show ever since.

An IFS intensive is where that pattern finally meets something stronger than itself.

Why an Intensive?

There is a difference between knowing why you people-please and actually sitting with the part of you that learned it was the only way to be loved.

There's a difference between understanding your perfectionism intellectually and feeling what it's been protecting underneath.

IFS intensives create the uninterrupted time and depth for that kind of meeting to happen. We don't just talk about your patterns from a distance, we go toward them, with curiosity and care, and work with the parts of you that have been carrying things alone for too long.

In an intensive, there's no clock pressure, no picking up where we left off next week. No losing momentum. We go where we need to go and we stay there long enough for something to actually shift.

Most therapy helps you understand yourself. An IFS intensive helps you meet yourself.

The Process

You'll have time to integrate what moved. We will debrief and discuss what's next, whether that's ongoing sessions, another intensive, or simply space to let the work settle.

03. After your intensive

We work in an extended, uninterrupted container. No clock pressure, no picking up where we left off next week. We go where we need to go.

02. During your intensive

We connect for a focused conversation about what you want to address and how to make the most of our time together.

A note from Kiara

I built this intensive container because I know what it feels like to understand your patterns completely and still find yourself doing the same thing again.

IFS is the modality that changed that for me and for the clients I work with. Not because it teaches you something new. Because it goes somewhere insight alone can't reach.

I am a Certified IFS Therapist, one of a small number in Maryland and Virginia with 15+ years of clinical experience.

I work with a small number of intensive clients at a time, which means our work together gets my full attention and genuine care.

If you've been waiting to do the deep work, this is the container.

Most people who invest in an intensive have spent years in weekly therapy making incremental progress. An intensive isn't a replacement for that work, it's an acceleration of it.

Three hours of concentrated IFS can move something that has been stuck for years.
Intensives are private pay only. No insurance. No sliding scale. This is intentional. The container works because both of us are fully committed to the work.

Common Questions

"I'm not sure I'm ready."

Before you talk yourself out of it

If you're reading this page, you're ready. Ready doesn't mean certain, it means tired enough of the pattern to do something different.

"Is this really worth the investment?"

Weekly therapy at $300/session over six months costs $7,200. An intensive costs the same or less and creates movement in days rather than months. The question isn't whether you can afford it. It's whether you can afford to keep waiting.

"What if I don't go deep enough in 1 day?"

IFS moves at the pace the system needs, not the pace the clock allows. Most clients are surprised by how much shifts in a single concentrated container. And if you need more time, we build that in.

"I've tried therapy before and it didn't work."

Most therapy stays at the surface. IFS goes underneath it, to the parts that developed your patterns in the first place. That's a different experience than what you've likely tried before.

The part running your people-pleasing has a name. And something to say.

What IFS Makes Possible For You

In IFS we don't treat your patterns as problems to eliminate. We treat them as parts of you that developed for good reason and have been working overtime ever since.

The part that says yes when you mean no. The part that over-prepares because coasting has never felt safe. The part that reads every room before it relaxes.

These aren't character flaws. They're protective parts doing a job they were built for long after the original threat has passed.

An intensive gives us enough uninterrupted time to actually meet those parts in order to understand what they've been carrying. And to give them something they may have never had: genuine permission to rest.

That's what shifts in an intensive that weekly therapy rarely reaches.

You've waited long enough to
do the deep work.
